BJ Shannon (NC '99)

BJ Shannon is a 1999 graduate of Newcomb College, where she studied German and Economics, and a 2003 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. She spent twelve years in the international trade practice group at Alston & Bird LLP, and she has been Raytheon Company’s in-house Customs Counsel since 2017.  BJ also served for two years as the full-time Development Director at City Year DC, and she continues to enjoy supporting community organizations on a volunteer basis.

Jackie Schornstein (2013)

Jackie is a fourth-generation Tulanian and graduated from Tulane University in 2013. She was in the first cohort of Newcomb Scholars where she worked with Sally Kenney to research the issue of battered women incarcerated for killing their abusers, the clemency movement, and how the movement can be revived today for the hundreds of women still behind bars. Jackie is Associate Philanthropy Officer at Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Theresa Schieber (NC '95)

Theresa has a BA in History from Newcomb College. Theresa Schieber is Chief Services Officer at Givewith, a social impact technology company that places social impact at the center of everyday business transactions. For more than two decades, she has worked at the intersection of nonprofit, corporate and government sectors, helping to develop and fund ambitious ideas that address the world’s most pressing challenges.

Andrea Price (NC '98)

After graduating Newcomb in 1998 with a BA in French, Andrea went to the University of Virginia, where she earned a Master’s degree in French and later a J.D. from the School of Law. Today, she is a litigation attorney in private practice at Barrasso, Usdin, Kupperman, Freeman & Sarver in New Orleans, Louisiana. Andrea has served as the past president of the New Orleans Association for Women Attorneys. Currently, Andrea serves as the president of the board of the Newcomb Alumnae Association and is on the board of the Federal Bar Association.

Andrea Turner Moffitt (NC '00)

Andrea earned her BA in Latin American Studies from Newcomb College and is an honors graduate from Columbia Business School and the School of International and Public Affairs.  She is the co-founder of Plum Alley, a private investment platform that gives women, men and families the opportunity to make direct venture investments in early stage companies founded by women and gender diverse teams. Andrea is also a thought leader on women investors and author of the book Harness the Power of the Purse: Winning Women Investors.

Loretta Loftus (NC '70)

Loretta has a BS in Psychology from Newcomb College and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kansas. Loretta has over thirty years of clinical practice, administrative, teaching, service, and research experience in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology. She joined the faculty of the University of South Florida College of Medicine and Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in 2001 as Professor of Medicine & Oncology where she obtained an MBA in 2003.
