Biography

Andrea earned her BA in Latin American Studies from Newcomb College and is an honors graduate from Columbia Business School and the School of International and Public Affairs.  She is the co-founder of Plum Alley, a private investment platform that gives women, men and families the opportunity to make direct venture investments in early stage companies founded by women and gender diverse teams. Andrea is also a thought leader on women investors and author of the book Harness the Power of the Purse: Winning Women Investors. As a sought-after speaker, her work has been featured in Forbes, Harvard Business Review, Inc., Wall Street Journal, among other media outlets.  Andrea previously worked as an investment banker at Citibank and Robertson Stephens and a hedge fund analyst.  She is the Co-chair of Columbia Business School's Tamer Center for Social Enterprise Alumni Circle and is a former term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
