Patricia Hurley (NC '72)

Patricia earned a B.A. in Political Science from Tulane University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Rice University. After receiving her terminal degree, Patricia held faculty positions at the University of Houston and Rice University before accepting a faculty appointment in the Department of Political Science at Texas A&M University in 1986, from which she retired in August 2017 with the title professor emerita of political science.

Nancy Hoffman (NC '71)

Nancy has a BS in psychology from Newcomb College and a Master’s of Public Administration from University of Kentucky. As a freshman at Newcomb she lived in the JL dorm. Nancy later went on to work as an elementary school teacher and later an office manager for a law practice. She also has experience with sales and lessons at a local needlepoint shop in Lexington.

 

Nancy Goedecke (NC '81)

Holding a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Newcomb, Nancy is the Chairman of the Board & CEO of her family’s 89-year old business, Mayer Electric. Prior to her role as Chair/CEO she served as Vice Chairman. Nancy also serves as a member of Mayer’s Advisory Board, Executive Leadership Team and Strategic Natural Team.

Merri Ex (NC '73)

Merri holds a BA in Latin American Studies from Newcomb College. She is originally from Staten Island, New York and attended public schools. She studied in Mexico during high school and after her freshman year at Newcomb.  After graduate school, she moved to Chicago with her husband, Mitchell Ex.  She began her career as a bilingual community organizer and in 1977 became the executive director of Erie Neighborhood House.

Paula Eichenbrenner (NC '04)

As an honors graduate, Paula holds a BA in Russian from Newcomb College. She is the Executive Director of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Foundation, where she guides a mission to advance medication-related research and education. Prior to joining AMCP Foundation, Paula held leadership roles at the American Society for Nutrition/ASN Foundation and the Council for Affordable and Rural Housing. She holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential.

Catherine Edwards (NC '72)

Catherine Hagaman Edwards grew up in Jackson Mississippi, and graduated from Newcomb College in 1972, with a BA in Latin and Greek. She was a member of Chi Omega fraternity, a member of the Tulane Newcomb A Capella Choir and an Army ROTC sponsor. After graduation, she worked in Washington D.C. for two years and then married David F Edwards (A&S ’71, JD ’72) and moved to New Orleans. They have three grown children and five grandchildren. Mrs.

Kaye Courington (NC '80)

Kaye holds a BA and MA in English from Newcomb College and received a J.D. from Tulane. As founding member and managing partner of the law firm Courington, Kiefer & Sommers, she has tried hundreds of cases. In her capacity as National Coordinating Counsel for a major client of the firm, she helps oversee litigation across the country. Kaye has testified before a section of the Louisiana Legislature on the issue of hedonic damages. In May 2011 she co-chaired the Perrin Conference on Issues Driving Toxic Torts.

Denise Butler (NC '75)

Denise holds a BS degree in Biology/Geology Newcomb ’75 and MS degree in Geology, Tulane University ’84. She has 34 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry focusing on upstream exploration and production. She held positions at SOHIO, BP and Pennzoil in both domestic and international exploration and development.

Maggie Bourgeouis (NC '67)

Maggie holds a BA from Newcomb College in Spanish, which prepared her for a living experience in Central America in her mid-twenties and promoted a lifetime curiosity about other cultures.  After returning to the United States, Maggie and her husband, Jay, moved to various places such as Pittsburgh, and Palo Alto before settling in Charlottesville, VA.

Elizabeth Bellino (NC '98), Chairperson

Elizabeth Belino, M.D., MPH & TM, is a pediatrician whose interests include international health and infectious diseases. Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, she is now based in New Orleans and remains active as a Pediatric consultant for international and national organizations. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Newcomb College. She then received her Master's Degree in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from Tulane University as well. Dr. Bellino completed her medical education at St. George's University School of Medicine.
