Biography

Tara Auclair graduated from Newcomb College in December 1995, although officially she belongs to the Class of 1996, with a B.A. in English and Minor in Sociology. She additionally earned an MBA from Boston University.

Professionally, Tara has enjoyed a career of marketing, public relations, communications, project management, and qualitative research primarily focused on the healthcare industry, including hospitals, multistakeholder coalitions, non-profits, medical societies, and consulting firms. In 2019 she founded The Clearwater Project, LLC, and today she focuses on supporting her clients’ mission-focused efforts.

Dedicated to the community, she donates her time to the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeast Florida, currently serving as both a statewide and national advocate, with previous leadership positions. Tara is a member of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and serves as a Chairman’s Ambassador, as well as the Coral Gables Garden Club. A long-time member of the Junior League, she has held numerous leadership roles and received the Outstanding Service Award in 2019. Additionally, she’s active in the Tulane Alumni Association and credits her education and experience at Newcomb College and Tulane University with her passion of philanthropy and servant leadership.

In her spare time, you’ll find her in her garden, cooking, reading a book, traveling, or living her best life with her partner, Lawrence Lesperance, and their two spoiled tuxedo cats, in Coral Gables, FL.
