Lauren Wethers (SLA ‘15, SLA *16)

Lauren is a two-time graduate of Tulane University, earning her B.A. in English and Spanish in 2015 and an M.A. in English Literature in 2016. After graduating, she started her career at Newcomb Institute, where she managed and scaled multiple engagement initiatives serving hundreds of Newcomb-identified students. She has also worked as a freelance writer for national outlets and is a certified career coach. Currently, she is the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Climb Hire, a national workforce development nonprofit.

Outside of work, she is the co-captain of a local running crew; co-hosts ‘Reclaiming Jane,’ a Jane Austen podcast for fans on the margins; serves on the board of Youth Run NOLA; and is working on a novel. She lives in New Orleans.
