Lauren Gaines (LA '20, SoPA '23)

Biography

Lauren Gaines is a two-time Tulane University graduate, having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2020 and a Master of Public Administration in 2023. She currently serves as the Communications Director for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Louisiana. Previously, Lauren served as the Media and Communications Specialist for Newcomb Institute, where she managed all activities related to communications and actively promoted the Institute within and beyond the higher education community. She also served on the board of the Tulane Club of New Orleans, creating community programming for Newcomb and Tulane alumni in the Greater New Orleans area. She is currently member of the Newcomb Alumnae Association Board of Directors.   

Lauren has worked on the External Affairs team at Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, managed communications strategy for the Louisiana Museum Foundation, and worked as an Admission Counselor at Tulane, where her work focused on recruiting diverse student populations from South Louisiana.
