Heather Yanak

After graduating from Newcomb, alumna Heather Yanak (NC ‘97) received her J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. Heather founded Cameo Advisory Group after nearly 20 years in the legal, compliance, and leadership/talent management industries as a practicing attorney and strategic advisor. She has served as a guide to hundreds of Global 2000 general counsel, chief compliance and risk officers, human resource executives, and their departments throughout her career. 

In November, Heather launched Houston-based Talinnt Inc., bringing a unique, future-facing tool and set of services to the human resources market.

 Heather serves on the Houston Tulane University Alumni Association board and has been instrumental in growing participation for virtual events for alumni in the Houston area. She also serves on the board for the TAA and is active in the NAA Mentoring Program, and hopes to inspire Newcomb women to go “all in” on themselves and their futures.

She enjoys foreign television and film and is currently learning Swedish and Spanish (though she jokes that her progress towards fluency is slow). However, her beloved Maltipoo is much more adaptable at communicating across language barriers and is known for his expert begging skills from New Orleans to Paris! Her favorite memories of her time at Newcomb College include the ancient oaks, Newcomb Art Museum, good times with friends, and the better dining option… stir fry!
