Biography

Jasmine Brown was born & raised in New Orleans, LA. She has deep-seeded roots and a strong connection to the culture and community. Jasmine received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Tulane University. Her experiences at Tulane intensified her passion for advocacy, education, environmentalism, and civic engagement. Jasmine is the Executive Director of The Green Project, where she enjoys working with her team and contributing to the mission of creative reuse and environmental education. She has worked as an Assistant Director in Higher Education and for TRiO programs through the Department of Education. She has dedicated service to underrepresented and underserved groups as well as assisted and improved the quality of service for students in the New Orleans community. A 2017 graduate of the Young Leadership Council’s Leadership Development Series, she holds strong values for volunteerism, sustainable infrastructure, recycling, and community development.
