Amie Adams (NC ‘92)

Biography
Amie Adams serves as President of Dunn Associates, a public affairs consulting firm with a longstanding, national reputation for developing successful political engagement programs including political action committee (PAC) and grassroots lobbying programs for major corporations and trade and professional associations.
With more than three decades of experience in government relations, specifically focused on PACs, issue advocacy, and related technology, Amie is a strategic thinker and communicator with strong political commonsense. She provides expert PAC fundraising, communications, and organizational advice to her clients. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Public Affairs Council.
Prior to joining Dunn, she was with DDC providing professional guidance on government affairs, PAC, and grassroots technology solutions for many Fortune 500 clients--advising them on the best practices of using technology tools to advance their government affairs programs.
Amie began her career working for a large nonprofit organization involved in women’s health issues. There she worked with the top lobbyist in the industry, managed the relationships between the national organization and its state affiliates, and ran the organization’s training program.
She moved to Washington, D.C. after earning a political science degree from Tulane University—back when Congress still had approval ratings above 20%—and expected to leave in just a year or so. With a career, family, and now some decent sports teams, she’s finally accepted that she might be there to stay.
