Biography

Allyson is a deeply curious and creative information scientist with over 15 years of experience and a diverse background in sociology, public health, product innovation, technology services & software development, agile coaching, and design thinking. She thrives in a fast-paced environment that couples experimentation with collaboration.

In 2021, Allyson embraced her entrepreneurial side, joining Glassblower Benasits first-ever CEO. She is leveraging her broad set of skills to streamline hand-blown, luxury glass products and create space for future innovation and greater opportunities for glass in the New Orleans community.

Prior to this, Allyson was the Senior Vice President of Solution Innovation & Management for Viewpointe LLC. She was responsible for the research and development of new products for financial services and content services. Before her stint as Senior Vice President, Allyson was a Strategic Technology Manager in the technology consulting world of Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC), where she advised Fortune 100 executives on technology strategy, execution, and agile innovation. Before consulting with PwC, Allyson was the head Agile coach and Agile transformation leader for all data & analytics products in Baker Hughes, a GE Company. Prior to leading Agile transformations, Allyson was a technical product manager with the Acquisition & Integration team in GE Oil & Gas, responsible for the end-to-end integration of newly acquired business application portfolios. Allyson has also held roles in software development as a QA Engineer with GE Capital and in data services with GE Aviation. Additionally, from October 2016 to April 2018, Allyson was the co-lead of the New Orleans Women’s Network Huband the co-lead for the GE Girls Camp @ Tulane University.

In 2019, Allyson became a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher and loves designing yoga classes as if her students were users of the technology products she developed. She currently teaches vinyasa, restorative, yin, and adaptive yoga to students across the city. She loves to remind people that yoga is more than flexibility; it is about the integration of breath, movement, and life that is accessible to everybody.

Allyson resides in New Orleans with her husband, Ben Dombey, and their two dogs, Pickles and Gypsy.
